Growing up in the Napa Valley, V-No was an art nerd, band geek, FL beat maker, garage scratch DJ, and wannabe rapper / battle host. In 2005, an internship at 106 KMEL helped him land official radio work in San Francisco, but more help at home was needed come 2009. Ultimately, the family business closed in 2012 and he returned to college getting a degree in audio engineering. By 2015, V-No’s career relaunched in an unexpected way when he joined SF’s tech start-up world. Quickly climbing the ladder at a Uber’s headquarters, his new profession just as quickly became less about music and more about corporate life.

20 years after opening Fruity Loops 3 in 2001, V-No went back to his artistic roots and started distributing instrumentals beyond his SoundCloud catalog (2003-2012). He released Hindsight (2021), EP 2 (2022), and his debut LP, Alas (2023), all depicting his life during the COVID-19 pandemic. Aside from solo work, V-No partnered with 1/2 of music duo, THNX, in 2024 to form, No ANSR, releasing his first collab album, N/A (2025).
